KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 148.82, while the selling rate is Rs 149.42.
The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 175.40 and the selling rate at Rs 176.11. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is set at Rs 201.60 for buying and Rs 202.41 for selling, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 189.94 for buying and Rs 190.71 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 106.73 and a selling rate of Rs 107.16. The Canadian dollar is priced at Rs 108.38 for buying and Rs 108.82 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 117.02 for buying and Rs 117.50 for selling.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen is valued at Rs 9.36 for buying and Rs 9.40 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 21.82 (buying) and Rs 21.91 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.67 for buying and Rs 39.83 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 40.82 and Rs 40.98, respectively.
Similarly, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.66 and a selling rate of Rs 4.68. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 40.52 for buying and Rs 40.68 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.64 and Rs 37.79.
The South Korean won (per 100 units) is set at Rs 10.08 for buying and Rs 10.12 for selling. The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.22 for buying and Rs 16.28 for selling, and the Danish krone at Rs 23.47 and Rs 23.57, respectively.
Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 19.02 for buying and Rs 19.09 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 486.02 and Rs 487.98, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 394.54 and Rs 396.13, and the Omani rial at Rs 386.54 and Rs 388.10.
Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees is fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required, and that rates offered by commercial banks may vary. Updated rates are available on the bank’s official website.
