RSP holding two-day orientation for newly elected lawmakers

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is organizing a two-day orientation program for its newly elected members of the House of Representatives.

According to the party, the orientation will be held today (Tuesday) and Wednesday in Lalitpur for lawmakers elected under both the first-past-the-post and proportional representation systems.

The residential program will take place at Hotel Royal Tulip. The party has made attendance mandatory for all newly elected lawmakers.

Party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti said the program will be conducted on a residential basis, with food and accommodation arranged by the party on a cost-sharing basis.

According to a notice issued by the party, the use of mobile phones will not be allowed inside the program hall. The party has also barred family members, friends, or other guests from entering the venue.

Lawmakers have been instructed not to meet outside individuals, take photographs, or hold meetings with outsiders at the program venue.

While parking will be available within the hotel premises, the party clarified that arrangements for food and accommodation for drivers or other accompanying individuals must be managed by the respective lawmakers.

Participants have also been requested to attend the program in “business casual” attire.
