NC Convention decisions a symbol of unity and victory

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee has affirmed that the decisions taken by the special general convention are valid in accordance with the Constitution, existing laws, and the party statute, describing them not as a matter of victory or defeat but as a triumph of democracy and the statute.

A meeting held in New Baneshwar on Saturday called on all Congress members at home and abroad, sister organizations, and well-wishers to participate with full unity in the elections scheduled for March 5. The meeting also urged members who have become inactive for various reasons or who had left the party to return to the Congress fold.

The Central Working Committee expressed high appreciation and gratitude for the long-standing contributions of former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba and other senior leaders. It also made it clear that the party will not enter into any unnatural alliances or power-centric agreements in the days ahead.

Reiterating its commitment to party values and principles, the Congress pledged to safeguard the Constitution and lead the country toward prosperity, while also emphasizing the need to address the aspirations of youth and public expectations.

The committee described the convention decisions as the beginning of a new chapter marked by transformation, unity, and victory, and called on all to join the campaign for building a prosperous Nepal.
