HoR polls: EC lists 13 service providers for election materials supply



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has shortlisted 13 commercial organizations to transport election materials, including ballot papers, to Himalayan and high-Himalayan regions.

Two companies have been selected to provide courier services for transporting ballot papers and other essential election materials for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

According to the Commission, the selected courier service providers are Common Courier and Cargo and Trans Air International Logistics Pvt Ltd. The Commission had also invited applications from firms for helicopter services; however, no company applied.

In addition, 11 firms have been enlisted to provide truck and container transportation services. These include Himalayan Cargo Logistics, Vasuki Transport, Chitwan Roadways Carrier, New Bhairav Transport, and Aditi Transport.

The remaining listed firms are Om Transport, Harhar Mahadev Transport Services, Deuti Bajai Construction & Suppliers Pvt Ltd, Krishna Transport, Dhawalagiri Kalika Construction & Suppliers, and Air Manakamana Courier & Cargo Pvt Ltd.

The Commission stated that the applications received in response to a public notice were evaluated based on prescribed criteria, including annual average turnover. The shortlisted service providers will be mobilized by the Commission for the supply and transportation of election materials.
