NC’s Deuba faction holding Central Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) led by Sher Bahadur Deuba is holding a meeting of its Central Working Committee today. Party Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel issued a notice scheduling the meeting for 8 am on Saturday.

The notice requests the presence of party office bearers, members, invited members, and the presidents of all seven provinces. The meeting comes immediately after the Election Commission granted official recognition to the Gagan Thapa-led faction elected from the special general convention. The Deuba faction has stated that it will not accept the Commission’s decision.
