Both Houses of Federal Parliament scheduled to meet today



KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament, the House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly, are scheduled to meet today.

The House of Representatives will meet at 1:00 PM at Singha Durbar. The agenda includes a proposal by Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi to consider the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

The National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 1:15 PM. The meeting will include oral question-and-answer sessions with the concerned ministers on matters related to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Health and Population.

Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, will present the Report of the Committee on the Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2083 to the National Assembly.

Similarly, Krishna Prasad Poudel, chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will present a proposal for discussion on the Study Report on Drinking Water, Sanitation and Water Resources Management in Madhes Province, 2083.

Meanwhile, three parliamentary committees are also scheduled to meet today, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The Finance Committee, the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, and the State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Committee are set to hold separate meetings.
