KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Director General of the Department of Passports, Tirtharaj Aryal.
Aryal was arrested on Monday from the Prime Minister’s Office in Baluwatar, according to the anti-graft body.
The CIAA said the arrest was made in connection with an investigation into alleged irregularities in a passport procurement case.
Further investigation into the case is underway, the commission added.
