HoR meeting to continue deliberations on budget



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is being held today. The Federal Parliament Secretariat said the session is scheduled for 11:00 am at Singha Durbar.

The House is continuing clause-wise discussions on various headings of the Appropriation Bill, 2083. Today’s agenda includes deliberations on the budgets of several key ministries and constitutional bodies.

These include the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development.

The House will also discuss the budgets of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Finance; and Ministry of Defence.

In addition, deliberations will be held on the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the National Planning Commission Secretariat, the Office of the President, and the Office of the Vice President.

During the meeting, lawmakers will also present proposals to cut expenditures under various ministries. Meanwhile, the Speaker is scheduled to table a condolence motion on the demise of former Member of the House of Representatives Mangal Prasad Gupta.
