Congress in weakest phase in its history: former acting president Khadka

SURKHET: Nepali Congress is currently in one of the most unfavorable phases in its history, according to former acting party president Purna Bahadur Khadka.

Speaking at a programme organized by the Nepali Congress Karnali Province Committee in Birendranagar on Saturday, Khadka said the party is facing internal fragmentation and efforts are underway to strengthen unity and organizational stability.

He stressed that party leaders and cadres must take the situation seriously to prevent further division within the organization.

Khadka also urged party leader Gagan Kumar Thapa to take leadership of the entire party as its president, suggesting the need for strong and unified leadership.

He said that avoiding factionalism and maintaining disciplined leadership is essential at present, adding that instability within the Congress directly affects the country’s political stability.

Nepali Congress leader Jeevan Bahadur Shahi also called on party members to play a responsible role in strengthening the organization.
