PM Balen interacting with Chief Ministers today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah (Balen) is holding discussions with the Chief Ministers of all seven provinces today.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the discussions, being held for the first time since he assumed office, will focus on various important and in-depth issues related to federal–provincial relations.

The meeting, scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, is also seen as an important initiative to make federal–provincial coordination more effective.

According to the Secretariat, the discussions will focus on accelerating development and construction work, ensuring proper allocation of resources, and resolving various administrative and economic problems faced by the provinces.

In addition, the main agenda of the discussions will include strengthening cooperation between the centre and the provinces to effectively implement national priority plans.

It is expected that efforts will be made to build a common understanding on the country’s current economic situation, infrastructure development, improvement in service delivery, and the maintenance of good governance.

The discussions are being viewed as an important step toward making the implementation of federalism more effective and ensuring direct benefits to the people.
