Nawalparasi Transport Management Office collects over Rs 233 million in revenue



NAWALPARASI: The Transport Management Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba), has collected more than Rs 233 million in revenue during the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

Office Chief Tek Bahadur Nepali said the revenue was generated under various headings, including vehicle tax, driving licence, vehicle registration, and other services.

According to him, Rs 192.42 million was collected from vehicle tax, Rs 37.49 million from driving licence and vehicle registration services, Rs 2.32 million from transport sector income, and Rs 771,528 from other administrative service fees during the review period.

Nepali said the office launched a special campaign in the month of Chaitra to make tax collection more systematic and effective. He added that improved service delivery and transparency had contributed to the rise in revenue collection.

The office had collected over Rs 235.4 million in the previous fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
