KATHMANDU: Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chair of the National Assembly, held a courtesy meeting with newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming on Monday.

The meeting took place at Dahal’s office in Singha Durbar, where the two discussed bilateral relations between Nepal and China, parliamentary cooperation, mutual assistance and other contemporary issues.

Highlighting the long-standing ties between the two countries, Dahal said Nepal–China relations are strong and cordial not only at the diplomatic level but also among the people of both nations.

According to Dahal’s secretariat, he also mentioned that Nepal recently held elections for the House of Representatives of Nepal on March 5 and is currently in the process of forming a new government.
