Five go missing after entering Bardiya National Park



SURKHET: Five individuals have gone missing after reportedly entering Bardiya National Park, police said on Sunday.

The missing persons have been identified as Resham Samaseli, 25; Ram Bahadur Gharti, 34; Rabilal Damai, 41; and Sunil Samaseli, 30, all from Barahatal Rural Municipality-1, and Durga Bahadur Sijali, 45, from Gangae of Lekbeshi Municipality-5.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budthapa of the District Police Office Surkhet, the group allegedly entered the national park area for hunting and has been missing since Sunday evening.

A four-member security team has been deployed to search for the missing individuals, Surkhet police said.

The District Police Office Bardiya has also been informed about the incident, and further search efforts are being coordinated.
