NRB sets foreign exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US Dollar has been fixed at Rs 147.64, while the selling rate stands at Rs 148.24.

Similarly, the buying rate of one Euro is Rs 168.55 and the selling rate Rs 169.24. The buying and selling rates of the Pound Sterling have been set at Rs 195.27 and Rs 196.06 respectively, while the Swiss Franc is valued at Rs 186.56 for buying and Rs 187.31 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs 103.07 and a selling rate of Rs 103.49, while the Canadian Dollar is priced at Rs 107.62 for buying and Rs 108.06 for selling.

The bank has set the buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen at Rs 9.24 and the selling rate at Rs 9.28. Likewise, the Chinese Yuan has a buying rate of Rs 21.41 and a selling rate of Rs 21.49.

The buying rate of the Saudi Riyal has been fixed at Rs 39.34 and the selling rate at Rs 39.50, while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs 40.39 for buying and Rs 40.56 for selling.

According to the central bank, the buying and selling rates of the Thai Baht are Rs 4.55 and Rs 4.57 respectively. The UAE Dirham has been set at Rs 40.20 for buying and Rs 40.36 for selling, while the Malaysian Ringgit stands at Rs 37.49 and Rs 37.64 respectively.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean Won is Rs 9.83 and the selling rate Rs 9.87. The Swedish Krona has a buying rate of Rs 15.57 and a selling rate of Rs 15.64, while the Danish Krone is priced at Rs 22.56 for buying and Rs 22.65 for selling.

The buying and selling rates of the Hong Kong Dollar have been set at Rs 18.86 and Rs 18.94 respectively. Similarly, the Kuwaiti Dinar stands at Rs 481.70 for buying and Rs 483.65 for selling, while the Bahraini Dinar is valued at Rs 391.05 and Rs 392.64.

The buying rate of the Omani Riyal is Rs 383.48 and the selling rate Rs 385.04. Likewise, the buying rate of 100 Indian Rupee has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates will be available on the official website of the central bank.
