KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that cooking gas cylinders will be distributed from five different locations in Kathmandu today.
The distribution is being carried out in coordination with the NOC and the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, with various brands of LPG cylinders being made available to consumers.
According to the corporation, cylinders of Nepal, HP, Everest/Sugam, Shriram, Sagar, Siddhartha, Shree and Himal gas brands will be distributed from the NOC’s Teku premises.
Similarly, Nepal and HP gas cylinders will be available from the Transport Management Office premises in Chabahil, while Nepal, HP, Everest/Sugam, Shreemaya, Shreekrishna, Saibaba and Om gas cylinders will be distributed from the Radhaswami premises in Kirtipur.
The corporation said consumers can also purchase Nepal, HP, Everest/Sugam, Bhanu and Om gas cylinders from the Radhaswami premises in Basundhara.
Likewise, Nepal, HP, Everest/Sugam, Shriram, Sagar, Himal, STC, Lokpriya and Surya gas cylinders will be sold from the former District Administration Office premises in Babarmahal.
The NOC has urged only those facing urgent shortages to visit the designated locations with their citizenship certificate or National Identity Card. Distribution will be carried out from 10 am to 6 pm.
The corporation also clarified that imports of LPG gas are continuing regularly and that gas industries are supplying cylinders through their respective dealers as usual.
