Bagmati Provincial Assembly meeting scheduled for Aug 17



HETAUDA: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly has bene scheduled for August 17 at 1:00 pm, according to a notice issued by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat in Hetauda.

Secretariat spokesperson Prakash Chapagain said Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya is scheduled to table a motion seeking a vote of confidence during the meeting, which will be held under the ongoing eighth session of the assembly.

He said the chief minister will present the motion in accordance with Article 188(2) of the Constitution of Nepal and Rule 143 of the Provincial Assembly Rules, 2074 BS.

Chapagain added that the Speaker fixed the date and time of the meeting under Rule 6 of the Provincial Assembly Rules for discussion on the confidence motion.
