NRB publishes foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday).

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 151.88 and the selling rate at Rs 152.48.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one euro have been set at Rs 175.70 and Rs 176.40 respectively. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling stands at Rs 203.63 and the selling rate at Rs 204.44, while one Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 190.53 for buying and Rs 191.28 for selling.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 107.01 and the selling rate Rs 107.44. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 108.57 and sold at Rs 109.00, while one Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 118.25 and a selling rate of Rs 118.72.

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen have been fixed at Rs 9.48 and Rs 9.52 respectively. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 22.46 and sold at Rs 22.55. Likewise, one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.47 and a selling rate of Rs 40.63, while one Qatari riyal is being exchanged at Rs 41.66 for buying and Rs 41.82 for selling.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.64 and sold at Rs 4.66. The buying and selling rates for one UAE dirham are Rs 41.35 and Rs 41.51 respectively, while one Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 37.43 and Rs 37.58.

Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 10.01 and the selling rate at Rs 10.04. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 16.07 and sold at Rs 16.14, while one Danish krone is being exchanged at Rs 23.51 for buying and Rs 23.60 for selling.

The central bank has set the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.38 and Rs 19.46 respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 494.32 and sold at Rs 496.27, while one Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 402.81 for buying and Rs 404.40 for selling. Likewise, one Omani rial is being exchanged at Rs 394.47 and Rs 396.03 respectively.

The buying rate of Indian currency has been fixed at Rs 160.00 per 100 Indian rupees, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
