KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted partly cloudy conditions across Nepal today due to the partial influence of westerly and local winds.
At present, the hilly and Himalayan regions are experiencing generally cloudy weather, while conditions in the Tarai belt remain mostly fair.
Light rainfall accompanied by snowfall is occurring in the Himalayan regions of Koshi Province, as well as in isolated areas of the Himalayan belts of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
This afternoon, hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Tarai will stay mostly clear. The department has also forecast chances of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Later tonight, the Himalayan region will remain generally cloudy, hills will see partly cloudy conditions, and the Tarai will stay mainly fair. Light rain and snowfall are likely at isolated locations in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
