NCP nominates nine PR lawmakers after winning eight direct seats



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party has submitted the names of nine candidates to the Election Commission of Nepal for election to the House of Representatives of Nepal under the proportional representation (PR) system.

The list includes five men and four women. Of the nine nominees, seven are from the faction led by party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and two from the camp of co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal.

From Prachanda’s side, the party nominated Balawati Sharma, Prem Bahadur Bayak, Bhim Kumari Budha, Parshuram Tamang, Jog Kumar Barvariya Yadav, Parbati Bishwakarma, and Nirasha Chaudhary Dagoura.

From the Nepal faction, Pramesh Hamal and Ganesh Bishwakarma were nominated under the PR system.
