Nepali Congress sends 20 PR lawmakers’ names to Election Commission



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has decided to submit the names of 20 lawmakers selected from its proportional representation (PR) closed list to the Election Commission Nepal.

According to party spokesperson Dev Raj Chalise, the party decided to nominate 15 women and 5 men out of the 20 seats it secured under the proportional representation category.

Chalise said the party has already finalized the names from the closed list and forwarded them to the Election Commission for further procedures.

The decision was made in line with the party’s allocation of seats under the proportional representation system.
