RSP finalizes names of 57 Proportional Representation MPs

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has finalized the names of 57 Members of Parliament (MPs) who will be elected through the Proportional Representation (PR) system.

Spokesperson Manish Jha said that a Secretariat meeting held earlier today at the party’s central office in Banasthali finalized the list of MPs for the PR seats.

The RSP, which secured 57 proportional representation seats in the House of Representatives, has finalized the names of 48 women and 9 men. Although the names have been finalized internally, the party has not made them public yet.

Jha provided a breakdown of the finalized list by community: 17 from Khas Arya, 16 from Adivasi Janajati, 9 from Madhesi, 8 from Dalit, 4 from Tharu, and 3 from the Muslim community.

The secretariat-approved list of 57 MPs will be submitted to the Election Commission later today. In addition to the PR seats, the RSP has also won 125 seats directly in the House of Representatives.
