Kathmandu’s minimum temperature drops to 8.4°C



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius early Sunday morning, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The temperature was measured at 5:45 am. On Saturday at the same time, the minimum temperature stood at 9.2 degrees Celsius and later dipped slightly to 8.9 degrees Celsius during the official 8:45 am recording.

The official minimum temperature is determined at 8:45 am each day, and today’s figure may decline slightly from the initial early morning reading.

The minimum temperature refers to the lowest temperature recorded within a 24-hour period, while the maximum temperature is the highest recorded during the same period.

The Division measures minimum and maximum temperatures daily at various stations across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature is officially recorded at 8:45 am and the maximum temperature at 5:45 pm.
