NRB issues today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.18, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.78.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 167.94 and the selling rate at Rs 168.64. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.88 and sold at Rs 194.69, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 179.94 and a selling rate of Rs 180.69.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.31 and sold at Rs 96.71, while the Canadian dollar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 103.82 and Rs 104.25, respectively. Likewise, the Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 111.95 and sold at Rs 112.41.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.08, with a selling rate of Rs 9.12. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.68 and sold at Rs 20.76. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.44 and a selling rate of Rs 38.60, while the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 39.45 (buying) and Rs 39.61 (selling).

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.58. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.25 and a selling rate of Rs 39.42. The Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 35.62 and sold at Rs 35.77. Similarly, 100 South Korean won is being bought at Rs 9.77 and sold at Rs 9.81. The Swedish krona is trading at Rs 15.66 (buying) and Rs 15.73 (selling), while the Danish krona has been fixed at Rs 22.48 (buying) and Rs 22.57 (selling).

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.49 and the selling rate at Rs 18.57. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 471.48 and sold at Rs 473.45, while the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 382.40 and a selling rate of Rs 384.00. The Omani rial is trading at Rs 374.51 (buying) and Rs 375.07 (selling).

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also said that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
