KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has described Haritalika Teej as a cultural heritage that reflects the feelings and beliefs of Nepali women.
In a message of best wishes issued today, Thapa said Nepal is a country rich in diverse religions, cultures, customs and traditions. He noted that festivals are not merely occasions for celebration but also serve as a means of connecting social life, family relationships and cultural identity across generations.
“Festivals have been strengthening unity in diversity, mutual respect and social harmony. Our festivals have also been preserving the cultural identity, strengthening family relationships and promoting social harmony in Nepali society,” Thapa said.
Thapa expressed hope that Haritalika Teej would bring greater happiness, peace, good health, prosperity and closeness to the lives of all Nepalis. On behalf of the Nepali Congress and himself, he extended best wishes to all Nepali women living in the country and abroad on the occasion.
