Khagaraj Bhatta appointed Sudurpaschim chief minister



KATHMANDU: Nepali Communist Party leader Khagaraj Bhatta has been appointed the new Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province.

Bhatta had staked his claim to the post before Province Chief Nazir Miya on Friday morning.

Province Chief Miya appointed Bhatta as chief minister shortly after he submitted his claim.

Bhatta is scheduled to take the oath of office at 3 pm today.
