BAJURA: One person has gone missing and two others have been injured after a landslide buried a house in Tamsu, Tribeni Municipality-9 of Bajura district.
The house belonging to local residents Dharma Thapa, 39, and Karna Bahadur Thapa, 43, was buried after incessant rainfall since Thursday night triggered the landslide.
According to Naresh Bahadur Shahi, information officer and police inspector at the District Police Office, two people sustained injuries when the landslide struck the house.
Ward chair Nanda Thapa of Tribeni Municipality-9 said continuous rainfall has made rescue operations and the search for the missing person difficult.
Following the incident, a 17-member rescue team led by District Police Office Chief and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shaileshwari Bohara was dispatched to the site with the necessary rescue equipment.
