NRB issues foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar recording an increase. The buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs 149.11, while the selling rate is Rs 149.71.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro is Rs 174.42 and the selling rate is Rs 175.12. The UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 200.37 for buying and Rs 201.17 for selling, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 188.84 (buying) and Rs 189.60 (selling).

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 105.60 and a selling rate of Rs 105.49, while the Canadian dollar is set at Rs 107.75 (buying) and Rs 108.18 (selling). The Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 116.90 for buying and Rs 117.37 for selling.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.33 and the selling rate is Rs 9.37. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 21.83 (buying) and Rs 21.91 (selling). Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.73 (buying) and Rs 39.89 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is Rs 40.90 (buying) and Rs 41.06 (selling).

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is set at Rs 4.62 (buying) and Rs 4.64 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.59 (buying) and Rs 40.76 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.51 (buying) and Rs 37.66 (selling).

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.03 and the selling rate is Rs 10.07. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 16.03 (buying) and Rs 16.09 (selling), while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.34 (buying) and Rs 23.44 (selling).

The Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 19.04 (buying) and Rs 19.11 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 486.41 (buying) and Rs 488.37 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 395.15 (buying) and Rs 396.74 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 387.29 (buying) and Rs 388.85 (selling). Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees have been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank noted that exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. Rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated information is available on the bank’s official website.
