Haze and fog to persist in parts of Terai till noon



KATHMANDU: Westerly winds are currently influencing Nepal, bringing partial cloud cover across the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The Division has stated that haze and fog are likely in some parts of the Terai region until noon. The high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy, while other hilly and mountainous regions will experience partial cloudiness.

The Terai region is forecast to remain mostly clear. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, fog may occur in a few places in the Terai. The high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to be partly cloudy, with the rest of the country remaining mostly clear. Light rain or snowfall is again possible at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of these provinces.
