Cold eases as Kathmandu’s minimum temperature rises above 9 degrees



KATHMANDU: The cold has started to subside in the Kathmandu Valley, with the initial minimum temperature recorded above 9 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am.

At the same time on Friday, the minimum temperature stood at 8.0 degrees Celsius and remained unchanged at the 8:45 am measurement.

The official minimum temperature is recorded at 8:45 am. By that time, the temperature may dip slightly from the early morning reading.

The lowest temperature recorded during the day is considered the minimum temperature, while the highest recorded temperature is the maximum temperature.

The Division measures daily minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature is officially recorded at 8:45 am and the maximum temperature at 5:45 pm.
