Facing ‘disciplinary action’ for first time: Bishwa Prakash Sharma

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said that he has faced “disciplinary action” for the first time in his life.

Addressing the party’s special convention, Sharma remarked, “This is the first time in my life that I have faced ‘disciplinary action.’ Trying to run the Congress in line with changed circumstances seems to invite such action.”

He also said that he had already relinquished the post of general secretary earlier on Wednesday during the special convention.

“I had stepped down from the post of general secretary early this morning. Pradeep Paudel and Gururaj Ghimire have already filed their candidacies for the position. There was no post left for which I could be subjected to disciplinary action,” Sharma said.
