NC central committee meeting yet to start amid leadership deadlock

KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee meeting called by the Nepali Congress establishment faction for 8 am on Wednesday has not yet begun.

The meeting, scheduled for 8 am, has been delayed for over three and a half hours.

The delay comes after talks between party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma at Maharajgunj ended without any agreement, leaving the meeting uncertain.

A similar situation occurred on Tuesday, when a meeting scheduled for 1 pm began only at 7:30 pm and was immediately adjourned.
