KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah has congratulated the team behind the Nepali film ‘Elephants in the Fog: Tiniharu’ after the film was recommended for the Academy Awards and nominated for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards from Nepal.
Shah shared graphics highlighting the film’s Oscar recommendation and Asia Pacific Screen Award nomination on social media and encouraged the public to watch the movie. He said the film has entered its second week of screening in cinemas.
Directed by Abhinash Bikram Shah, ‘Tiniharu’ has already received recognition at the Cannes Film Festival in France. The Nepali government has also honoured the film with a cash award in recognition of its achievement.
