Truck driver dies in accident along Prithvi Highway



DAMAULI: A truck driver died after the vehicle overturned at Kamalabari in Byas Municipality-12, Tanahun, along the Prithvi Highway, this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Ajay Thing of Manahari Rural Municipality-6, Makawanpur, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.

Thing was seriously injured when the truck, travelling from Dumre towards Damauli, lost control and overturned. He was rushed to Provincial Hospital, Damauli, where doctors declared him dead, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire.

An 11-member police team led by Pranau Ghimire reached the accident site shortly after the incident and carried out rescue and initial investigation operations.
