Kishor Shrestha taken to Government Attorney’s office in handcuffs



KATHMANDU: Senior journalist Kishor Shrestha was taken to the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office on Thursday ahead of his appearance in court for a remand extension.

Shrestha, who was arrested late Wednesday, was taken to the government attorney’s office in handcuffs.

According to SSP Santosh Khadka of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Shrestha was arrested on charges related to the violation of personal privacy.

Police had arrested Shrestha near his residence in Lalitpur.

Shrestha is the publisher and editor of Jana Aastha weekly and Jana Aastha online.
