KATHMANDU: Five parliamentary committees are scheduled to hold separate meetings today to discuss a range of legislative, development and oversight matters, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Meetings will be held by the Finance Committee, International Relations and Tourism Committee, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, and Women and Social Development Committee.
The Finance Committee, meeting at 9:30 am, is expected to discuss a subcommittee report. The International Relations and Tourism Committee, meeting at 10:00 am, will discuss amendments to the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Preservation) Bill, 2081 with the lawmakers who proposed the amendments.
Similarly, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, scheduled for 11:00 am, will discuss the status of the use of organic and inorganic fertilizers, soil health, and their potential for sustainable agricultural development.
The Infrastructure Development Committee, meeting at 10:00 am, is expected to discuss the report on the water supply action plan.
Likewise, the Women and Social Development Committee, scheduled for 11:00 am, will discuss the work and progress of the National Dalit Commission.
