House of Representatives meeting scheduled for today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to convene at 11:00 am today. The meeting is expected to continue deliberations on the government’s policy and program.

President Ram Chandra Paudel presented the government’s policy and programme in a joint session of Parliament on Monday.

During Tuesday’s meeting, lawmakers expressed their views on the policy and programme on behalf of their respective parties. The policy and programme is expected to be presented for a decision in today’s sitting, as per the House agenda. The budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 is also set to be presented in the ongoing parliamentary session.

Similarly, the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 12:15 pm today. The upper house is expected to begin discussions on the government’s policy and programme as part of its agenda.
