Indian national arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport with 2 kg of marijuana



KATHMANDU: An Indian national has been arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) following the recovery of approximately two kilograms of marijuana.

The individual was arrested by Armed Police Force (APF) personnel at the airport’s customs area shortly after arriving from Colombo, Sri Lanka, via a SriLankan Airlines flight today.

According to APF Spokesperson Bishnu Prasad Bhattarai, the suspect was taken into custody during a routine security check. Both the individual and the confiscated narcotics have been handed over to the Nepal Police for further investigation and legal action.
