Deputy Speaker Rubi Kumari Thakur assumes office at Singhdarbar



KATHMANDU: Newly elected Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ruby Kumari Thakur, officially assumed her office at Singhdarbar today. Thakur, who was elected to the post during the parliamentary session held on April 10, reached her office to take up her formal responsibilities.

Following her assumption of office, Deputy Speaker Thakur held her first official meeting with Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal. During the meeting, Speaker Aryal extended his congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure.

According to the Speaker’s Secretariat, the brief meeting focused on coordination between the two presiding officers to ensure the smooth functioning of the House and its upcoming legislative agenda.
