Nepali Congress calls Central Working Committee meeting for April 15



LALITPUR: The Nepali Congress has officially summoned a meeting of its Central Working Performance Committee for April 15. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 2:00 PM at the party’s central headquarters, B.P. Smriti Bhawan, in Sanepa.

According to a notice issued by Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal, all office bearers and members of the committee have been directed to attend.

While the agenda focuses on contemporary political developments and internal party matters, high-level sources suggest that the committee is expected to make a definitive decision regarding the selection of the Parliamentary Party leader.

This meeting comes at a critical juncture as the party navigates deep internal divisions following recent disputes over active membership and the legitimacy of special conventions.

Observers believe the outcome of this session will be instrumental in determining the party’s strategy ahead of the 15th General Convention and its role in the current parliamentary landscape.
