KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the combined influence of westerly and local winds, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said.
According to the Department, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy, while other hilly regions are partly cloudy. The weather in the Terai districts remains mostly clear.
Cloud cover is expected to increase in the mountainous regions this afternoon, with partly to generally cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in other mountainous regions, the Department said.
