Gagan–Bishwa form four-member panel to hold talks with establishment faction



KATHMANDU: A negotiation committee has been formed to address the growing internal rift within the Nepali Congress (NC), which has pushed the party to the brink of a split.

General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, who are leading the special general convention, have constituted a four-member committee to hold talks with the party’s establishment faction.

The committee comprises leaders Pradeep Poudel, Guru Ghimire, Devraj Chalise, and Madhu Acharya. On the other side, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba has assigned Vice Presidents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Ramesh Lekhak to negotiate with supporters of the special general convention.
