BIRGUNJ: Police have arrested an Indian national in possession of Rs 450,000 in cash in Parsa.
According to Chakra Bahadur Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Parsa, 55-year-old Ashok Kumar of Palanwa Police Station-10, Motihari, India, was arrested on Saturday with the cash.
Malla said a police team deployed for routine patrol recovered the money after finding it concealed in the trunk of a motorcycle. The recovered cash comprised 891 notes of Rs 500, notes of Rs 200, and 43 notes of Rs 100.
Kumar has been taken into custody, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
