Two killed, four injured in Bolero jeep accident in Salyan



KATHMANDU: Two people were killed and four others injured when a Bolero jeep met with an accident on an inner road in Triveni Rural Municipality-5, Singha, Salyan, on Saturday morning.

According to police, the Bolero jeep, bearing registration number Lu Province 02-001 Ja 0005, lost control and crashed at around 8:00 am. Six people were injured in the accident, two of whom later died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Salyan.

The deceased have been identified as 8-year-old Resham Budhathoki of Triveni Rural Municipality-6, Pokhari, and 18-year-old Bipana Budhathoki of Ward No. 5, Salle. Doctors pronounced them dead at 10:22 am after they were brought to the hospital.

The injured have been identified as jeep driver Bhupal Pun, 24, of Simkha in Triveni Rural Municipality-5; Paras Bohara, 29, of the same locality; Dilli Bahadur Wali, 50; and Lalmati Budhathoki, 42, of Ward No. 6.

The injured received initial treatment at Triveni Health Care, Luham, before being referred to the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Dang for further treatment. Police said an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
