NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.20, while the selling rate stands at Rs 152.80.

The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 179.20 and the selling rate at Rs 179.91. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 207.17 and a selling rate of Rs 207.99. The buying and selling rates of one Swiss franc have been fixed at Rs 195.60 and Rs 196.38 respectively.

Likewise, the buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 110.30 and the selling rate is Rs 110.73. One Canadian dollar is being exchanged at a buying rate of Rs 111.40 and a selling rate of Rs 111.84, while one Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 119.92 and a selling rate of Rs 120.39.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.69 and the selling rate at Rs 9.73. One Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 22.39 for buying and Rs 22.48 for selling. Similarly, the buying and selling rates of one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 40.57 and Rs 40.73 respectively, while one Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 41.75 for buying and Rs 41.92 for selling.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.70 and the selling rate is Rs 4.72. One UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.44 for buying and Rs 41.60 for selling, while one Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 38.80 and Rs 38.95 respectively.

Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.34 and the selling rate is Rs 10.38. One Swedish kronor is being exchanged at Rs 16.48 for buying and Rs 16.54 for selling, while one Danish kronor has a buying rate of Rs 23.98 and a selling rate of Rs 24.08.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.44 and the selling rate at Rs 19.52. One Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 496.98 for buying and Rs 498.94 for selling. Likewise, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 403.45 and a selling rate of Rs 405.04, while one Omani rial is being exchanged at Rs 395.32 for buying and Rs 396.88 for selling.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates fixed by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
