Minister Sita Badi declares 20 chickens, a dog, Rs 1.5 million in bank deposits



KATHMANDU: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Sita Badi has disclosed a modest mix of assets, including cash savings, household items, and even domestic animals, as part of the government’s public asset declaration.

According to the details made public on Sunday, Badi owns 20 chickens and a pet dog.

The disclosure also lists one scooter, three laptops, and two mobile phones in her name, while her husband owns a Pulsar motorcycle.

On the financial front, Wadi has declared Rs 50,000 in cash. Additionally, a total of Rs 1.5 million is held in bank deposits under the names of both Badi and her husband.

In terms of valuables, she owns 18 tola of gold and 15 tola of silver, which, according to the declaration, were received during her marriage.

Under immovable assets, Badi owns land covering 89.65 square meters in Surkhet.

The disclosure comes as part of the government’s requirement for ministers to make their property details public.
