Protests staged in Kathmandu demanding justice in Inisha BK murder case



KATHMANDU: Various groups staged a protest in Kathmandu on Thursday demanding a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible for the killing of Inisha BK.

The demonstration was organized at Maitighar Mandala by groups including Utpidit Gen-Z Force, Jaat Byawastha Unmoolan Morcha Nepal, and Baigyanik Samajwadi Bidyarthi Sangathan Nepal.

Protesters called for a serious investigation into the case and demanded the harshest possible punishment for those involved in the incident.

Participants carried placards with slogans such as “Punish Inisha BK’s killers,” “End violence against children,” “Down with patriarchy,” and “Dismantle the system that breeds rapists.”

The demonstrators also called for the formation of a high-level commission to ensure impartial investigations into all rape cases across the country.

BK was found dead in a community forest in Birendranagar. According to preliminary findings by Nepal Police, based on the post-mortem report and statements from those arrested, she died due to excessive bleeding following sexual assault.
