Westerly winds bring cloudy skies to high hills

KATHMANDU: Westerly winds are currently influencing weather conditions across the country, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology said.

As a result, high hilly and mountainous areas in several provinces are experiencing cloudy conditions, while most other regions remain mainly clear.

According to the Department, fog is likely to occur in some areas of the Terai until noon today. The hilly and mountainous parts of Koshi Province will remain generally cloudy, while other hilly and mountainous regions are expected to be partly cloudy.

Weather conditions in the remaining Terai areas will be mainly clear. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province.

Tonight, fog may persist in some parts of the Terai. Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will see mainly clear skies.
