NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Thursday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.83 and the selling rate at Rs 145.43.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 172.55 and the selling rate at Rs 173.27. The UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 198.45 (buying) and Rs 199.27 (selling), while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 189.09 (buying) and Rs 189.87 (selling).

Similarly, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 103.13 and a selling rate of Rs 103.56. The Canadian dollar is priced at Rs 107.19 (buying) and Rs 107.63 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.78 (buying) and Rs 115.26 (selling).

Among Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.44 and the selling rate is Rs 9.48. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 20.96 (buying) and Rs 21.05 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 38.62 (buying) and Rs 38.78 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.63 (buying) and Rs 39.79 (selling).

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.67 (buying) and Rs 4.76 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at Rs 36.99 (buying) and Rs 37.15 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 36.99 (buying) and Rs 37.15 (selling). The South Korean won is fixed at Rs 9.99 (buying) and Rs 10.03 (selling), the Swedish krona at Rs 16.35 (buying) and Rs 16.42 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 23.10 (buying) and Rs 23.20 (selling).

The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 18.53 (buying) and Rs 18.60 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 474.77 (buying) and Rs 476.74 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 384.14 (buying) and Rs 385.74 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 376.21 (buying) and Rs 377.76 (selling).

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
