KATHMANDU: With 21 days remaining until the House of Representatives (HoR) elections, the Election Commission (EC) has prepared a range of resource materials to promote civic education.

The materials cover key topics such as democracy, elections, inclusiveness in elections, voter registration, and the voting process. They also include information on the importance of voting, constitutional provisions related to elections, and the role of political parties.

The Commission has made the Civic Education Promotion Resource Booklet available on its website for public access.

Joint Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC stated that relevant government agencies, civil society organizations, and individuals can use these materials to promote civic education. The Commission is also preparing to intensify its voter education campaign starting February 13.
