NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.97 and the selling rate at Rs 144.57.

Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is Rs 167.55 and the selling rate Rs 168.25, while the UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 192.96 and sold at Rs 193.77. The Swiss franc is priced at Rs 179.66 for buying and Rs 180.41 for selling.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.27 and sold at Rs 96.67, the Canadian dollar at Rs 103.48 and Rs 103.91, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.82 and Rs 112.29, respectively.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.12 and the selling rate Rs 9.16. Likewise, one Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.63 and sold at Rs 20.72. The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 38.39 for buying and Rs 38.55 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.39 and Rs 39.55, respectively.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.59 and sold at Rs 4.61. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 39.20 for buying and Rs 39.36 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 35.34 and Rs 35.49, respectively.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.88 and the selling rate Rs 9.92. The Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.64 and sold at Rs 15.70, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 22.42 for buying and Rs 22.51 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.47 and the selling rate at Rs 18.55. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 470.80 and sold at Rs 472.76, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 381.91 and Rs 383.50, and the Omani rial at Rs 373.93 for buying and Rs 375.49 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the latest exchange rates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
